Description
FitTrack is a conceptual mobile fitness and wellness application I designed from scratch, focusing on delivering a seamless and motivating experience for users at any fitness level. The design centers on clarity and engagement — giving users an at-a-glance view of their progress, a structured workout library, and a nutrition tracking module that doesn't overwhelm. The project demonstrates my ability to translate complex health data into approachable, user-friendly interfaces while maintaining a consistent visual language throughout the app.
Key Features
Personalized Dashboard: Designed a home screen that adapts to the user's goals, showing daily activity rings, upcoming workouts, and streak counters for consistent motivation.
Workout Library & Planner: Built a searchable exercise library with video previews, muscle group filters, and a drag-and-drop weekly planner for custom workout schedules.
Progress Analytics: Implemented visual progress charts showing strength gains, weight history, and workout frequency over customizable time ranges.
Nutrition Tracker: Designed a macro and calorie tracking flow with barcode scanning UI, meal templates, and daily nutritional summaries.
Gamification & Badges: Added achievement badges, milestone celebrations, and social sharing prompts to keep users engaged and motivated long-term.
Technologies Used
Design Tool: Figma for all wireframes, component libraries, and high-fidelity mockups with auto-layout and variables.
Prototyping: ProtoPie for advanced micro-interactions, gesture simulations, and realistic app flow demonstrations.
Illustration: Adobe Illustrator for custom icon sets, onboarding illustrations, and exercise diagram assets.
Design System: Built a comprehensive component library following Material Design 3 guidelines adapted for the brand's visual identity.
Design Highlights
Dark Mode First: Designed with a dark-first approach using high-contrast accent colors to reduce eye strain during night or gym usage.
Accessibility: All touch targets meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, with minimum 44px tap areas and color contrast ratios above 4.5:1 throughout.
Micro-interactions: Designed fluid transitions, haptic feedback cues, and animated progress indicators that make the app feel alive and responsive.
